Founded over 2 decades ago, RONTEK has been focusing on developing ‘Need-Based’ Audio and Power Electronics products specifically for the Indian market.
RONTEK initially developed and manufactured power products for the telecom and weighing instruments industry. But it is the passion for music and high quality audio products for home and business environment that led its founder to develop RONTEK Audio and Power Electronics products. RONTEK’s products have proven its quality and reliability over the decades and has become the preferred brand for many leading business houses.
RONTEK has an in-house R&D and its core team consists of musicians on stage and sound engineers off stage and people with decades of experience in power electronics. All the products manufactured by RONTEK are proudly ‘Made in India’ with a good understanding of India specific needs both in audio and power electronics. RONTEK now has over 30 different variants of amplifiers for business music and power management systems. And we are adding more every now and then based on what the market needs. RONTEK aims to scale its production through its ‘Make in India’ policy and hopes to make its products export worthy soon
FOUNDER
Jacob or Ronny as friends call him, traces his interest in Physics, Electronics, Guitar playing and Aero-modelling to school days. Jacob started learning music very early in life as a choir boy, then picked up guitar playing mostly self-taught. He built his own guitar and guitar amp while in college and established himself as a musician of repute early on with many college level trophies and accompanied a popular vocalist even on a local TV program. Its while he was a guitarist for a popular Bangalore based Gospel band that he realized the need for good sound and acoustics to do justice to the many days and months of practice that the band puts in. Jacob started focusing on ‘Miking a Joyful Sound’. His research and work with many Churches have helped get sound quality that had never been achieved before with a ‘brand-centric’ approach. Jacob believes in a ‘design-centric’ custom solution rather than a ‘one size Fits all’ approach. This has helped RONTEK develop design-centric custom solutions for a myriad of requirements from Churches, Automobiles, Auditoriums, resorts that are aesthetically appealing and provided quality sound reinforcement and reproduction.
During his aero-modeling and gliding days as an NCC cadet, Jacob aspired to be a fighter pilot. His journey from wanting to “break the sound barrier” to now breaking barriers to good sound has been a remarkable one.
